The latest figures for registrations for agricultural machinery and tractors in Spain for April have been released by the Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación (Ministery for Agriculture, Fishing and Food) and underline year-on-year growth for agricultural machinery and tractor market in the country.

April Records Nearly 50% Growth in Tractor Registrations

Tractor registrations in Spain reported a 49.92% increase for Abril compared to 2020, with 976 units sold against the 651 in 2020, as Andalucia proved to be a fertile ground for tractor sales as 267 units were purchased in the month. Furthermore, over the first four months of 2021, the market is also 40.05% up compared to one year ago.

Moreover, the market for agricultural machinery covering: harvesting equipment, loading equipment, tractor trucks and power tillers reported positive numbers in April with 94.44% year-on-year growth and 20% growth over the entirety of 2021 to date. Andalucia once again led the way in terms of activity in this segment with 27 units sold, but was closely followed by Castilla La Mancha (21), Cataluña (20) and Galicia (20).

The increasing sales and registrations in the Spanish agricultural market suggests an air of optimism in the sector and hopefully points to good news for agricultural tyre manufacturers.
