Los Premios Hevea, the Industry Awards for the Spanish tyre sector return in 2022 with the edition featuring new awards categories and the vote count being certified by a notary. Organised by EuroPneus in conjunction with Motortec Madrid, Los Premios Hevea 2022 will take place at the IFEMA Fair in Madrid and will recognise excellence in the Spanish tyre sector.
Premios Hevea Generate Interest with Third Edition
Taking place on January 27th, the third edition of the Premios Hevea will feature more categories to recognise both the evolution of the market and the increasing demand within the sector.
19 awards categories were presented during the 2021 Premios Hevea, with this year featuring some of the most popular categories from the last ceremony, as well as a selection of new ones, all of which will be announced after the summer. EuroPneus will announce the deadline in due course for submitting new applications, which will include the ‘Road Safety and Honour Awards’.
Another major award will be the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award,’ will be selected by the EuroPneus team, with the aim of valuing, recognising and honouring the work of a person throughout their career, both for the benefit of the sector, as well as the contribution made within their own company.
Like the 2021 Premios Hevea, the industry rewards itself by choosing the winners through the public voting system. This year though, a notary will be on hand to supervise the votes cast in the categories which are open to a public vote.
David Moneo, IFEMA Mobility Director explains that Motortec Madrid will once again host the Premios Hevea. “The sector has always actively participated at IFEMA, helping to showcase the industry and its continual growth. These awards are given during a period of recovery in both the tyre segment and the automotive industry. Therefore thanks to this innovative capacity and the difficult circumstances that we have gone through during the Covid-19 pandemic, these awards will highlight how we have recovered and what we are overcoming.”
Moneo adds that, “Soon we will be able to see encouraging signs of recovery within the tyre sector, along with the rest of the automotive industry during the next edition of Motortec Madrid, which will be held in a presential format once again. This will continue to aid economic recovery, as well as providing human contact and interaction between all of the stakeholders in this important economic segment.”
