Starting this August, Continental will hit the road visiting customers during its 2021 roadshow. Customers will be able to find out more about the new WinterContact TS 870 tyres as well as up-to-date information about VECTO and Conti 360° solutions.
Continental Roadshow Planning to Showcase New Tyres and Mobility Solutions on the Road
With the roadshow planning to visit haulage companies and tyre dealers in August, Continental staff are ready to temporarily swap their company cars for specially equipped Mercedes Sprinters. Ralf Hoffman, Head of the German Marketing Tyre Replacement Business at Continental, explained the inspiration behind the roadshow and the choice of vehicle. “We can present new products and services to customers in a relaxed atmosphere.”
With the stylish interiors of the Mercedes Sprinter, the vehicles are ideal for a relaxed discussion between Continental staff and external companies, Hoffman noted that this layout resonated well with Continental’s customers. “We can discuss individual questions face-to-face and respond to company-specific concerns. With the tour bus in the Conti style, we have created an environment that promotes a trusting exchange.” Coupled with the help of the onboard technology, Continental’s latest technological innovations can be demonstrated, with the functionality explained.
New Products and 360° Solutions Available on Board
As part of the roadshow, Continental will showcase its new winter Continental WinterContact TS 870 tyres, as well as its Conti 360° Solutions tyre management programme, which includes the digital tyre monitoring system, ContiConnect. Fleet managers can also discover the latest information about the VECTO simulation tool, the associated legal requirements for each jurisdiction, and how to reduce CO2 emissions.
Hoffman explains that the overall aim of the roadshow is to bring Continental closer to the customer, forging closer personal links. “By visiting our 'tour bus' we want to pick up the customers where they are - in their everyday life,” adds Hoffmann. “We make customer visits more targeted and can deliver more specialised content.” Last year, numerous customers reported that the roadshow was of high quality and brought the customers real added value.
Of course, all requirements relating to the Covid-19 pandemic have been taken into account this year, with social distancing and face masks to ensure Continental maintains its policy of putting safety first.
