Apollo’s first coach tyre has been designed for comfort, durability and all-weather grip. The tread pattern and compound has also been developed to minimise noise.
Apollo Tyres Unveils Its First Medium to Long Distance Coach Tyre
Apollo Tyres has launched its first coach tyre, the EnduComfort CA, which was designed and developed in Europe by Apollo Tyres’ in-house R&D department and produced in its manufacturing plant in Hungary. Inspired by Apollo Tyres’ presence in the global haulage market, the tyre has been made for medium- and long-distance use, with high mileage, solid durability, all-weather grip and enhanced protection against stone penetration.
What to Expect from the EnduComfort CA
The new EnduComfort CA tyre features an advanced tread compound and a reinforced casing, which work together to help minimise abrasion, ensure cooler running of the vehicle and safeguard even patterns of wear. The result offers high levels of durability – 1.9 times greater than the EU minimum requirement, as well as a mileage performance.
The EnduComfort CA’s innovative tread design also features unique zigzag grooves to deliver superior standards of grip in wet and snowy conditions, which is how the EnduComfort CA has been certified for all-weather grip with the ‘three-peak mountain snowflake’ insignia.
The groove base protectors of the tyre offer enhanced protection against stone penetration, while the tread pattern and compound have also been developed to help minimise noise, aiding comfort for passengers. Apollo Tyres has also given the tyre a tension-optimised ply casing engineered to facilitate retreading, to further maximise serviceable life, which means the EnduComfort CA will be of competitive value within the European coach tyre segment.
As Apollo Tyres has a firm European presence, over 500 partners will offer distribution to support the rollout of the company’s first-ever coach tyre, which will be available in 295/80 R22.5 dimensions.
John Nikhil Joy, Cluster Director Europe – Truck and Bus tyres at Apollo Tyres, explains the motivation behind the new tyre: “The coach tyre market is extremely competitive. We are launching our debut product confident that it offers the durability, performance and comfort that the most demanding coach owners and fleet operators across Europe now expect. The research and development team responsible for the EnduComfort CA has built on the success of Apollo Tyres products in the truck, passenger car and agricultural sectors, drawing on expertise in design and materials to deliver a product that offers an optimal balance of performance and low cost of ownership.”
