Caelan Kilduff: First Engineering Director at Wheely-Safe

He joins the Staffordshire-based technology company as it prepares to expand its range of intelligent tyre pressure monitoring, wheel loss and brake temperature sensing systems with a new generation of products for the commercial vehicle, construction, agricultural and fleet car and van sectors.

Kilduff, who has a first-class bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Management Studies from the University of Portsmouth, is looking forward to playing a key role.

He explains: “It’s a hugely exciting time to be joining Wheely-Safe. With my background in electronics and software design I’m ready to help the company drive forward and accelerate its growth.”

Commenting on the appointment, Broadfield says: “Caelan will initially be focusing on further enhancing our software, electronics and testing capabilities. He will also work closely with customers to enable the smooth implementation of our newest fully connected systems, which will be able to plug directly into a vehicle’s telematics or CAN bus.

“As we expand our range and deploy our products within more fleets, the ability to speed up the testing and integration will be critical.”

Kilduff joins Wheely-Safe from Wearable Link, where he worked as an Electronic Engineer on the design of a helmet mounted tracker system for the construction sector. Prior to that he held similar engineering roles at Gtech and Vax.

Wheely-Safe has further strengthened its engineering team with the appointment of Megan O’Shea as Engineering Specialist.
