Pneuhage Produces Millionth Truck Retread

Pneuhage

Pneuhage, the Karlsruhe, Germany based tyre dealer and retreader, has announced that it has manufactured its millionth retread since the company’s plant first opened in 1988.

Pneuhage Reaches Production Milestone

According to the company, over this period 40,000 tons of casings have been saved from premature disposal in Karlsruhe over the course of the last 30 years. The tyre with the production number 1,00,000 was handed over during October to Gerhard Lang Recycling GmbH from Gaggenau.

The Pneuhage Group now manufactures retreads at five locations. In Karlsruhe and at the Nossen site near Dresden, the Recamic process is used with Michelin profiles. Meanwhile Pneuhage subsidiary Ehrhardt Reifen + Auto Service in Wulften am Harz and the First Stop Reifen Auto Service plants in Friedberg and Wippringsen also retread using the Bandag process.
