Allpneus, a specialist in online agricultural tyre sales has decided to give back to the community that they work with after a difficult year, as reported in Pneumatique. With the second lockdown in France affecting businesses once again, Allpneus will donate part of its turnover to the Solidarité Paysans Association.
Agricultural Sector Supported by Allpneus
According to a recent study from the Hauts-de-France region, the farms that were surveyed confirmed a 90% drop in their spring turnover, which was when the first lockdown took place. Now, with the second confinement underway, farms will be suffering far more uncertainty in the future.
Allpneus therefore has decided to donate 2% of its November 2020 turnover to the Association, which is a national federation, bringing together more than 1,000 volunteers spread across 35 local associations in 64 departments. Its purpose is to help and support farmers, as well as to stop rural areas being excluded. So, the contribution will help support those farmers struggling under the exceptional circumstances.
Explaining how Allpneus were inundated with messages regarding the advent of Black Friday, as well as the traditional end-of-year celebrations so common in normal years, Judge Matthieu Boissady, Director of Allpneus, explained how their priorities have changed. “We must be virtuous and respectful with the agricultural world, which helps us to exist. This is a direction that Allpneus has to take and I’m delighted we have.”
