Sailun Demonstrate Liquid Gold

Sailun

As a regular exhibitor at the bi-annual Autopromotec Show in Bologna, Italy, truck tyre manufacturer Sailun Tires used their appearance at last month’s event to showcase their latest TBR patterns and designs and also present their innovative and revolutionary ‘Liquid Gold’ mixing process.

New Mixing Process Introduced

Commercial Tyre Business spoke with Richard Nicholson from the marketing division of Sailun who explained that this ‘groundbreaking’ procedure enabled less energy to be consumed in the mixing process of truck tyre preparation as well as the effective disbursement of the filler throughout the compounds. Liquid Gold therefore enables significantly improved tyre performance and synchronised improvements in rolling resistance, performance wear and wet grip.

The procedure, which attracted a lot of interest on the Sailun stand during the show also combines the advantages of both carbon black and silica compound.

Liquid mixed compounds are considered to deliver a much higher level of strength and the mixture is much more homogeneous than conventional mixing procedures therefore ensuring there are fewer microscopic stress concentrations and improved elasticity.
