BKT Develop Complete Tyre Range for Loaders in OTR Applications

BKT
BKT has developed a product range for OTR Loaders.
BKT has shaped a product range for OTR loaders. This tyre line-up was conceived to face the challenges on differing terrains – from snowy and icy surfaces to muddy and rocky ones at quarries and mines.

For snowy and icy terrains, the All Steel radial tyre Earthmax SR 22 tries to satisfy all needs in terms of grip, adherence and braking response under any conditions. Enhanced traction and stability on slippery surfaces are largely thanks to a non-directional tread design.  The Earthmax SR 22 is available in sizes 14.00 R 24, 17.5 R 25 and 20.5 R 25.

The Earthmax SR 31 is a radial tyre designed for even surfaces with multi-ply steel belts, providing strength and stability. Traction as well as cut and heat resistance ensure better productivity during loading and material transport operations. At this point in time, it is available in three different sizes 23.5 R 25, 26.5 R 25 and 29.5 R 25.

The Earthmax SR 41 is made of BKT’s latest-generation compounds providing strong performance and a long life. The profile is completed by its extra-deep, L-4-class tread, which is increased by 50% compared to standard. It is available in sizes 26.5 R 25 and 29.5 R 25.

The Earthmax SR 31 and Earthmax SR 41 have been designed with scattered terrains in mind. Additionally, the Earthmax SR 30 is a good solution suitable for tough operating conditions, since its multi-ply steel belts along with the rigid block design provide good traction, stability, and durability. The special tread compound from BKT enables the tyre to withstand cuts and abrasions as well as dissipating the heat created during the loaders’ operations. Earthmax SR 30 is in sizes 15.5 R 25, 17.5 R 25, 20.5 R 25, 23.5 R 25, 26.5 R 25 and 29.5 R 25.

Earthmax SR 30, Earthmax SR 49 and Earthmax SR 49 M are BKT’s main solutions for muddy and earthy surfaces. Earthmax SR 49 performs well in tough environments, where traction is an essential factor. Besides, it is a sturdy and cut-and-chip resistant tyre and can be bought on the market in size 35/65 R 33. Earthmax SR 49 M, available in size 29.5 R 29, is suitable for critical operations whenever high levels of traction performance is required. These two tyres feature an L-4 tread depth. Also, developed for these terrains are the Earthmax SR 50 and Earthmax SR 51. Earthmax SR 50’s distinctive trait is its aggressive, L-5-class tread, which has resulted in a longer life-cycle and steady resistance to numerous obstacles found in muddy and earthy terrains. It is available in sizes 26.5 R 25 and 29.5 R 25 and, thanks to its robustness and the notable lateral stability, means it’s suitable for loading and leveling operations. Earthmax SR 51 features the same tread depth. As a main player in OTR environments, it is suitable for extreme conditions, since it is made of a special cut resistant compound and has a special square shoulder shape facilitating the ejection of foreign matter. The Earthmax SR 51 can be purchased in no less than four sizes: 17.5 R 25, 20.5 R 25, 23.5 R 25 e 29.5 R 29.

The Earthmax SR 43, meanwhile, ensures good performance for open-cast mining applications and recycling operations. Its reinforced sidewall reduces damages caused by rubbing against blocks and rocks, whereas its self-cleaning properties provide protection against stones and debris and is on the market in size 29.5 R 29. Last but not least, the Earthmax SR 53 is a good solution as a loader tyre for operations in rocky environments and is also a good option for recycling operations. The special compound along with an L-5-class tread and excellent self-cleaning properties ensure a long and profitable operating life. The tyre is available in five different sizes: 17.5 R 25, 20.5 R 25, 23.5 R 25, 26.5 R 25 and 29.5 R 25.

For the mining sector, the top-of-the-range product is the Earthmax SR 55, which combines all features necessary for both recycling and underground mining operations. The tread of class L-5S, i.e. extra-deep and of smooth surface, ensures peaks in productivity as well as less machine downtime. The Earthmax SR 55 can be purchased in five different sizes: 12.00 R 24, 17.5 R 25, 18.00 R 25, 26.5 R 25, 29.5 R 25 as well as 29.5 R 29.
