Interstate Tires Introduces New Truck Tyre Line
Interstate Tire & Rubber Co. has launched new truck tyre line with over 32 sizes to enhance their current offering. Theo de Vries the company’s Vice President said; “Not only are we introducing the new second generation truck tyre programme, but we have also invested in a sales and field engineering team focused exclusively on the commercial trucking business. This team brings decades of experience in servicing national accounts to our fleet customers, creating real value.”
The Interstate commercial truck programme helps the customer to save money, to reduce operating costs and to make the right business decisions. For example, the unique Interstate Fleet services offers large fleet companies the chance to secure pre-agreed prices all over Europe and central invoicing, which eliminates the worry of out-of-pocket costs for truck drivers.
An important application is the Interstate SR558, which is the 2nd generation ON/OFF tyre to complete the company’s range of products for construction and severe-duty trucking applications. The Interstate SR558 was developed by Interstate’s commercial vehicle tyre research and development team. A wider tread and shoulder ribs improve wear and increase performance, while the patented tread pattern and contour provide reduced stone retention and improved impact resistance. A heavy-duty compound and aggressive open shoulder design were chosen to provide superior original mileage and traction, while the tyre's optimised contour ensures higher load capabilities with less deformation. The tyre also features a 21.5mm tread depth and is M+S marked, and is available in sizes 315/80R22.5 and 13R22.5.
