Hankook announced that it is returning as the official sponsor of the Ballon d’Or in 2025, marking the second consecutive year of the company’s sponsorship of the football event.
About the Event
The golden trophy honours the best performances in professional football over the past season and is the world’s most prestigious individual award in football. This year’s ceremony will take place in the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on 22nd September 2025.
Established in 1956 by the sports publication “France Football”, the Ballon d’Or has evolved from a European to a global standard for individual excellence in football, and this year will be the second consecutive year of Hankook sponsoring the award.
The partnership includes both parties being able to use the other’s brand logos, and the Hankook logo being placed along the red carpet and in the press areas. Additionally, digital activities on UEFA and Hankook channels will enhance supporters’ emotional brand loyalty worldwide.
With its renewed commitment to the Ballon d’Or, Hankook confirms its global sponsoring strategy, which targets partnerships with international reach. It focuses on first-class and attention-grabbing sports formats, with sponsorship of events like the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and FIA World Rally Championship, as well as the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League and Borussia Dortmund.
Jongho Park, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe, explains: “We are proud to continue our partnership as sponsors of the Ballon d’Or, one of the most prestigious awards in global sport. The Ballon d’Or has shaped football history and holds international appeal far beyond the sporting world. Our partnership underlines our shared commitment to innovation and peak performance – values that we have in common with international football.“
