Hankook Unveils Vantra Transit: Durable, High-Mileage Summer Tyre for Vans
Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook is extending its offering for light commercial vehicles with the new Vantra Transit. Specially designed for transporters and small vans, this summer tyre offers high mileage and reliable safety. It also features low rolling resistance for better performance and efficiency.
This new tyre development is Hankook’s response to the growing demand for commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 7.5 metric tons. These are primarily used for delivery purposes. This segment experienced a 15% growth rate throughout Europe in 2024.
Vantra Transit Uses Innovative Technologies
The Vantra Transit combines innovative technologies with robust construction. Its optimised tread design and wider tread reduce wear and increase mileage by up to 18% compared with its predecessor. In comparison, the innovative tread compound reduces rolling resistance by 15%. This is compared with conventional tyres in the light commercial vehicle segment, saving commercial clients’ money on tyre changes and fuel.
Additionally, the reinforced carcass structure provides a high load capacity, making it ideal for use on fully laden vehicles. Thanks to its deformation-resistant 3D GripControl sipes, the Hankook Vantra Transit cuts braking distances by an impressive 9%. It also boosts stability on wet surfaces by 13%.
Hankook Expands LVC Range

The Hankook Vantra Transit is now available in 32 sizes, ranging from 13 to 17 inches.
Along with the Vantra Transit, Hankook offers other tyre solutions for transporters and vans. The Vantra LT ensures reliable performance in summer conditions. Alternatively, the Winter i*cept LV, with its outstanding traction and braking ability, guarantees a high level of safety in winter.
