Grupo Soledad announced a new step in its business plan, designed within its family protocol, which came into force in 2006. Juan Ramón Pérez Vázquez, the current managing director, is handing over the reins to Joaquín Pérez Martínez, who will take over leadership of the group after over 20 years of training and experience in different strategic areas.

About the New Appointment

Juan Ramón Pérez will remain with the company as chief executive officer and co-owner. This ensures the continuity of the vision, values and strategy that have made the company’s success possible.

“It has been an honour to lead this company and work alongside an exceptional team. Now it is time for Joaquín to take charge of the day-to-day running of the business, which I am certain he will do with the same passion and commitment that has always defined us,” said Juan Ramón Pérez.

Furthermore, Joaquín Pérez, a member of the second generation of the family, has developed his professional career within the group, progressively assuming greater responsibilities and acquiring a global vision of the company. His appointment as managing director is part of a succession plan that aims to ensure stability, innovation and sustainable growth.

I am delighted to take on this responsibility, and I am confident that, together with the team and my family, we will continue to drive Grupo Soledad towards new challenges, always remaining faithful to our values of innovation, commitment, proximity, sustainability and continuous improvement,” said the new managing director.

Owned by the five Pérez Vázquez siblings, Grupo Soledad maintains its commitment to responsible management and the continuity of the family business project, aiming to ensure the company keeps its position in the sector and continues to be a driver of employment and economic development in the communities where it operates.

The new managing director has played a key role in the development and consolidation of strategic areas of the company. He led the creation of the Marketing department and defined the commercial strategy as a tyre retailer and distributor. This encouraged customer loyalty through the Confortauto network of garages, as well as the Blacktire, Ecological Drive, Fixcar, and Neumago brands, which together have nearly 2,000 associated points of sale.

His responsibilities have included coordinating pricing policy, developing online commerce in B2B and B2C environments in different European markets, and modernising, diversifying and digitising points of sale.

From 2019 to 2025, he managed the Industrial Division, which comprises several plants dedicated to rubber manufacturing (MCE), the production of technical parts for infrastructure (Caucho Industrial Verdú), tyre retreading and recycling (Industrias del Neumático) and the manufacture and maintenance of recycling machinery (Tallans Navarro). Over the last year, he incorporated the Valencian firm Aceros y Servicios into the group, thus consolidating the company’s presence in the world of specialised steel and as a manufacturer of high-added-value parts for various industries.
