Two new wide-base sizes have been added to the Giti EVO truck tyre range. They deliver lower rolling resistance, enhanced fuel efficiency, and greater load capacity. Designed for regional and highway use, they feature advanced tread compounds, RFID tracking, and enhanced mileage.
New Giti Tire EVO Tyres Offer Lower Rolling Resistance, Better Fuel Efficiency, and Higher Load Capacity
Giti Tire has added 385/55R22.5 and 385/65R22.5 to its recently launched Giti GSR237EVO truck tyre pattern, with the EVO name signifying energy-saving solutions through a vastly improved Rolling Resistance Coefficient (RRC).
Sitting in the tyre manufacturer’s Combi Road segment, both achieve a B label in RRC. This is a high-level achievement for a regional steer tyre. At the same time, a new tread compound has increased mileage by 20% against identical sizes in the Giti GSR259 portfolio.
The Giti GSR237 EVO in 385/55R22.5 also features an improved load index of 162, which complies with the latest generation truck requirements.
The EVO range was first unveiled at The Tire Cologne in 2024 and came to market earlier this year with the Giti GSR237EVO steer and Giti GDR675EVO drive tyres launched in 315/70R22.5. All products score an A-grade label in exterior noise.
First to Arrive in Europe with RFID Chip
New internal compounds with lower hysteresis and advanced tyre curing technology have achieved these results. This significantly reduces hysteresis generation, improving the RRC and lowering fuel consumption.
They also feature an advanced profile concept to ensure even wear as well as improved robustness and retreadability.
The tyres are also among the first products to arrive in Europe carrying an RFID chip in the sidewall, which allows whole tyre life monitoring.

Development of the Giti GSR237EVO and Giti GDR675EVO was led by Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany.
