Full compliance with incoming EUDR requirements means Falken can provide clear tyre traceability and a seamless transition for EU imports.

Falken Are Ready as EUDR Becomes Mandatory for All Tyre Imports Into the EU

The introduction of the EU’s new deforestation rules (EUDR) will bring significant changes to the tyre industry. Manufacturers must now obtain independent certification proving that the materials used in their products come from fully compliant, deforestation-free sources.

The EU Deforestation Regulation will take effect on 30th December 2025. This ensures that tyres imported into the EU originate from traceable and responsibly managed supply chains.

Falken prepared early for the new requirements. Over recent months, a dedicated project team has thoroughly tested and implemented all necessary processes. This Falken project team is ensuring the company is fully ready for the regulation’s start date. From December, Falken will provide complete EUDR documentation for all deliveries, offering full transparency. All Falken tyres now have verified traceability.

Current Status of the Regulation

In October, the EU Commission proposed several adjustments to support implementation, including simplified obligations for dealers, a six-month transition period for large companies, and reduced requirements for small and medium-sized businesses. The final decision is expected between 15th and 18th December in the EU Parliament.

Falken has already implemented all required processes and aims to make the transition as smooth as possible for customers, without requiring additional administrative work on their part.
