At Agritechnica, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) and Tractor of the Year once again take to the stage to celebrate the innovations shaping agriculture. Each year, the award honours innovators who design today’s tractors while envisioning the future of sustainable, advanced agriculture.
Since 2020, the BKT and Tractor of the Year partnership has supported the evolution of agricultural mechanisation.
Celebrating Sustainable and Smart Technologies
After a thorough selection and evaluation process involving leading tractor manufacturers and a jury of 25 specialist journalists from across Europe, the 2026 edition of Tractor of the Year has concluded. The winners have now been announced. At the heart of this season’s competition are the key themes shaping the industry’s direction. These include sustainable technologies, increased energy efficiency, autonomy, digitalisation, and reduced environmental impact.
These trends are taking on an increasingly strategic role, positioning this annual event as a significant technological showcase, and making Tractor of the Year one of the best-known and most coveted awards in the agricultural mechanisation sector, which merges agriculture and digital technology.

The award ceremony at Agritechnica thus becomes an international showcase for recognising the tractor models that best interpret this transformation in each category.
The awards granted by the jury in the six competition categories are:
