The latest data from ANFAC on the commercial vehicle (CV) market in Spain shows a strong start to the year across all categories.
January 2026
Light commercial vehicles start the year with a total of 13,185 new registrations, which is an almost 5% increase compared to 2025, the latest ANFAC data shows. Companies accounted for the majority of new registrations, indicating a continued investment in fleet renewal, likely driven by operational needs after supply-chain disruptions last year. Ford, Renault and Volkswagen dominated the market when it comes to new registrations this month.
Industrial vehicle registrations grew by 6.3% compared to 2025, with 2,724 units, pointing to increased freight movement and renewal of older heavy trucks in order to meet new emissions regulations. Volvo, Scania and Renault Trucks were among the top 3 in January 2026.
On the other hand, bus registrations recorded a strong decline of almost 20% compared to 2025, with 304 units registered in January 2026, indicating a continued pressure on public and private transport operators. Mercedes, Volvo and iveco were the most purchased buses in January 2026, the latest ANFAC CV data shows.
