Alliance Agri Star II Row Crop at Agritechnica 2025

With E-speed ratings (up to 70 km/h) and an extensive size range from 24 to 54 inches, the Agri Star II Row Crop line offers a perfect fit for diverse machine types, from sprayers to specialised tractors.

Alliance officially launched the Agri Star II Row Crop tyre at Agritechnica 2025, bringing the benefits of Stratified Layer Technology to the sprayer segment, thereby ensuring high traction through the life of the tyre.  Thanks to its wider tread, the new tyre also leads to lower soil compaction and has been designed with an E-speed rating, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 70 kmph.

“We just have to complete the same field work in ever shorter time frames due to the changes in climate,” said Stefan Vogelsang, German farmer and content creator from Westphalia. “That means larger machines and more pressure on the soil – but I would never accept a loss of yield due to soil damage,” he added, emphasising the vital role of Alliance’s Agri Star II (with its wider tread width) and the low-pressure Agriflex+ range. These tyres are helping farmers lower soil compaction and protect their fields for future harvests.

His colleague, Olly Harrison, a farmer and contractor from the UK, agreed: “Twenty years ago, a tyre spent 10% of its time on the road; now it is up to 40%. That’s why I need excellent roadability from a tyre that still performs at low pressure in the field – a challenge only quality VF tyres like Agriflex+ can solve. And we are confident doing so, as Alliance gives us best-in-class warranty on its standard and VF tyres.”

Angelo Noronha, the president and CEO of Yokohama ATG, revealed why Alliance can afford to provide these long-term warranties: “Alliance tyres are 14 to 17%  heavier than those of the competition because of components like the stubble guard or the stratified layers.” Instead of cutting corners in a trade-off against lifespan, Alliance invests that value into strength and durability – delivering true performance and reliability to the customers.

Built on the proven Stratified Layer Technology (SLT) – already tested in over a million Agri Star II tyres sold worldwide – the new row crop version is designed for specialised sprayers and equipment working between narrow crop rows. SLT ensures that each lug, made of two distinct rubber layers, continues to deliver traction and stability throughout the tyre’s lifespan: the top layer provides grip when new, while the bottom layer activates after about 40% wear, maintaining performance as if the tyre were brand new.
