Citira has continued its expansion across the Nordic tyre-service market with four acquisitions announced in recent months, adding service points in Sweden and Finland while also broadening its offering to include heavy-vehicle maintenance.

Malte Månson

In July, Citira announced the completion of a transaction to bring Malte Månson, a Swedish independent truck and bus workshop operator, into the group. Malte Månson is a well-established vehicle maintenance service provider to truck and bus operators across Sweden, known for round-the-clock service and broad technical expertise across the full vehicle, from drivetrain to ancillary equipment. In 2025, Malte Månson had revenue of SEK 773 million.

“Tyre management and vehicle maintenance solve the same problem for our truck and bus customers: keeping fleets moving. Malte Månson gives us the expertise to offer both under one roof, which is exactly the kind of complete service offering our customers have been asking for,” said David Boman, CEO at Citira.

“Citira felt like the right fit from the start, both as a company that shares our focus on service and respect for the customer relationship, and as one that lets us offer customers combined tyre management and vehicle maintenance for heavy vehicles under one roof. I’m confident our customers will value that,” said Staffan Lindewald, CEO at Malte Månson.

First Däckstop i Lomma

Later in August, Citira announced that First Däckstop i Lomma, a service point in Lomma in southern Sweden, is joining the group, advancing the expansion of Citira’s service coverage in the region, with the addition of key service points along E6 and close to Malmö.

Known for quick, high-quality service and a welcoming team, Jonas Åkesson and Patrik Nilsson have built First Däckstop into a service point that people recommend and return to.

“What stands out with First Däckstop is how efficiently Jonas and Patrik run things, without ever losing the personal touch that makes customers feel welcome. That’s the kind of culture we want more of in Citira, and it will serve our customers in Skåne well,” says Urban Tibbelin, Head of Sweden at Citira.

“Joining Citira feels like finding a group of like-minded colleagues who share our approach to service. Jonas and I are proud of what we’ve built here, and we’re looking forward to what comes next,” says Patrik Nilsson of First Däckstop.

Patrik Nillson continues to run First Däckstop locally with the same team and in the same premises, with the support of Citira’s resources and network for continued development. Jonas Åkesson and Patrik Nilsson also became co-owners of Citira.

KM Däckservice i Haparanda

KM Däckservice i Haparanda, operating two well-established service points in Haparanda and Gällivare in Norrbotten, also joined Citira this summer.

Founded in 1997 in Haparanda, KM Däckservice today operates service points in both Haparanda and Gällivare, serving private customers alongside transport and industrial customers across Norrbotten. Under the brothers Jarmo and Kari Maunu’s leadership, the business has become a dependable service point for vehicle owners and fleets in the region, for various kinds of vehicles, including heavy and off-road vehicles.

“Keeping customers and a team together for almost thirty years, in a market as remote as Norrbotten’s, is not easy. Jarmo and Kari have done exactly that, and that kind of commitment and reliability is what Citira’s customers in the north will notice most,” says Urban Tibbelin, Head of Sweden at Citira.

“Kari and I have spent almost 30 years earning trust one customer at a time, in a part of Sweden where that’s the only way it works. Seeing more of the industry move in this direction made this an easy decision, and a good one for the people who’ve stuck with us,” says Jarmo Maunu of KM Däckservice.

KM Däckservice still operates under the same name, with the same teams, across both Haparanda and Gällivare. Jarmo Maunu remained operationally involved and became a co-owner of Citira.

Lapin Kumi acquires Rengas Turku

Lapin Kumi, Citira’s Finnish tyre services chain, has agreed to acquire Rengas Turku, an established provider of tyre services in Turku, Southwest Finland, expanding its service network in southern Finland with the addition of six service points.

Founded in 1994 by Marko Rantanen and Tomi Kaartovuori, Rengas Turku brought a third owner into the fold in 2008 when longtime employee Marko Virta joined as co-owner. Over the past decade the business added new locations in Kaarina, Lieto and Salo. Lapin Kumi’s expertise in tyre services for heavy vehicles, working machines and corporate customers complements Rengas Turku’s long experience serving consumer customers. Through the transaction, customers gain access to a broader product range, a nationwide service network, and an even stronger procurement and logistics network.

“Over its long history, Rengas Turku has built a very strong position in its market area, and the company’s strong can-do spirit, high level of service, and passionate approach to tyres and rims fit excellently with how Lapin Kumi operates. By combining Rengas Turku’s strong local expertise with Lapin Kumi’s nearly 80 years of long-term efforts, we will be able to offer our customers even more versatile services going forward as well,” says Ville Ruokanen, CEO of Lapin Kumi.

“I am confident that Rengas Turku’s customer service will remain just as good going forward. Ville Ruokanen, CEO of Lapin Kumi, has solid, long experience in the tyre industry, and he understands very well that good customer service comes from skilled staff,” says Marko Rantanen, CEO of Rengas Turku.

Rengas Turku will continue to operate with the same teams from the same premises, and the transaction is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2026. Marko Rantanen, Tomi Kaartovuori and Marko Virta will become co-owners of Citira.
