From 15th to 16th April at Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn, Hankook will showcase its commercial vehicle tyre portfolio at the first-ever RTX Ireland.
About the RTX Ireland
This year represents a significant milestone for the Road Transport Expo (RTX), with the launch of RTX Ireland, organised by the team behind RTX Stoneleigh and RTX Scotland, which debuted this year. RTX Ireland will have more than 50 exhibitors, expecting over 7,000 visitors across the two days, with a goal to provide a valuable platform for the Northern Irish and wider Irish road transport sector to connect ald explore the latest innovations in the industry.
Visitors can meet the Hankook team at RTX Ireland 2026 together with TyreCall and Tractamotors, the exclusive distributor of Hankook tyres across the Irish Sea, on Stand C15, where a range of commercial tyres will be on display.
Jon Cottrell, Hankook Tyre UK Truck and Bus Sales Manager, commented: “We are looking forward to the first Road Transport Expo in Northern Ireland— it’s a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful connections and stay informed on the latest developments shaping the industry. 2026 marks the inaugural RTX Ireland and our first time exhibiting in Northern Ireland, which makes it particularly exciting. We’re proud to be attending alongside our exclusive distributors, TyreCall and sister company, Tractamotors, with whom we have had a strong partnership for the last 40 years. We look forward to welcoming both existing and prospective customers to our stand, while gaining valuable insight into the Irish truck tyre market.”
The highlight of the event will be the pioneering Hankook e-SMART City AU56 – the brand’s first dedicated EV bus tyre introduced in 2024. Engineered specifically for electric urban transport, it delivers low rolling resistance for extended range, reduced noise for improved passenger comfort, and improved durability to withstand high torque and heavier battery loads.
Hankook will also showcase the recently launched Smart Work AM11+, designed for regional and local distribution transport within the UK market. Engineered for front steer applications, it offers resistance to stop-start operations and reinforced sidewall protection for demanding tasks, such as within the waste management sector.
Hankook SmartFlex AL51 (steer/all-position) and SmartFlex DL51 (drive axle) tyres will also be on display. Designed to deliver consistent performance throughout their lifecycle, and as with all modern Hankook truck tyres, both tyres are regroovable and retreadable, supporting cost efficiency and sustainability objectives.
Visitors will also have a chance to explore the company’s associate brand, Laufenn, including the Laufenn365 initiative, the LF95+ trailer tyre, the LF22 all-position tyre and the LZ22 drive axle tyre for regional haul.
