jobmate announced the launch of jobmate planner, a new cloud-based scheduling solution designed to simplify and streamline field service management for smaller businesses and service operatives.
About the New jobmate planner
jobmate Planner is designed to help SMEs and field operatives stay on top of challenges such as last-minute job cancellations, urgent emergency call-outs, people skills, certification requirements, and the need for real-time visibility. It offers a simple drag-and-drop interface that makes scheduling and job reallocation quick and effortless.
According to jobmate, the technology aims to reduce the risk of lost time and dissatisfied clients caused by manual or outdated planning processes. One example of its application can be seen in the tail lift maintenance and support sector, where engineers must often be dispatched at short notice to meet customer demands.
The planner simplifies allocating the right engineer with the correct skills and certification, while also checking the availability of parts, suppliers, or customer assets. If a job changes during the day, adjustments can be made instantly with drag-and-drop functionality—helping individuals and companies avoid downtime, improve customer service, and keep their teams productive.
The system operates as a progressive web app (PWA), making it fully device-agnostic, secure, and accessible across smartphones, tablets, and desktops. This flexibility, says jobmate, allows businesses to manage their workforce and schedules from any location, while ensuring data remains synchronised and up to date.
It also integrates seamlessly with jobmate pro, a cloud-based management tool created to support field service operations. jobmate pro includes features such as digital timesheets for accurate labour tracking, automated certification expiry reminders to help businesses remain compliant, and inventory management to reduce delays caused by missing parts or stock.
“jobmate planner, as with each of our products, is positioned around three core principles: simple, powerful, and affordable,” says CEO and co-founder Chris Dalton. “For a low monthly subscription, SMEs and field service contractors can have full-time access to ERP-grade management tools that previously relied on manual processes or multiple disconnected systems.”
