When it comes to the light commercial vehicle sector, ADINE Distripool reported a 6.5% increase in van tyre distribution in Spain in the first half of 2025. This increase continues to be driven by the positive performance of the budget ranges and the sustained increase in demand for larger diameter wheels (18 inches or larger), which continue to record double-digit growth.
The truck and/or bus segment recorded a slight increase of 0.5%, supported by the growth of the budget range brands, which grew by 0.4% in Q2 2025.
On the other hand, sales in the truck and/or bus segment experienced a slight increase of 0.5% in this first half of the year, also supported by the growth of the economy range brands, while in the second quarter they grew by 0.4%.
Óscar Bas, executive secretary of ADINE, commented: “Even though the growth is more moderate in this segment, truck and/or bus tyre distribution tends to be more influenced by the evolution of freight and passenger transport, while the pressure on operating costs is making budget brands even more relevant. In summary, these results underscore the strategic importance of wholesale distribution within the tyre value chain. At ADINE, we will continue working to provide the sector with accurate information, defend its interests, and anticipate upcoming challenges, especially in terms of sustainability, European regulations, and market digitalisation.”
