GT Radial Enters Combi Road Market with New Steer Axle Tyre
In line with market demand, GT Radial has entered the growing multi-usage sector with the launch of the GSR225 Combi Road steer axle tyre.
Designed to perform in both regional and long haul operations across a wide range of commercial vehicles, the product has specially developed tread and base compounds to improve mileage and a wider tread pattern to deliver excellent handling and extra resistance to tearing and curbing.
In addition, a new casing
construction has been developed for increased load indexes to cater for the introduction of Euro VI regulations and the extra weight which will be added to the axle by emission filters and other air cleaning devices.
The GSR225 Combi Road is initially available in size 295/80R22.5, with 275/70R22.5, 315/60R22.5, 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 available before the end of the year. Load indexes range from 148/145M to 156/150L.
New Regional All-Position Sizes from GT Radial
GT Radial is continuing to build its comprehensive portfolio for medium sized trucks by launching two new sizes of its popular GAR820 regional all-position pattern tyre.
Initially available in 215/75R17.5, the brand has added 205/75R17.5 and 225/75R17.5 with 235/75R17.5 and 245/70R17.5 currently in development and due for release
later in the year
The GAR820 has been specifically designed to respond to the fast development of modern medium sized trucks increased requirements for comfort, low noise, good wet grip and handling in additional to excellent wear-out performances. The tyre is M&S marked indicating excellent all-season traction.
New Taurus Truck and Coach Range from ATS Euromaster
ATS Euromaster is introducing three new mid-range Taurus steer and drive tyres for trucks and coaches.
The new Taurus Roads F (steer) and Taurus Roads D (drive) fitments replace a previous generation of tyre in the popular 225/75 R 22.5, 295/80 R 22.5 and 315/80 R 22.5 sizes. Suitable for long and short journeys on all types of roads, they feature a robust casing, optimised contact patch and a directional tread pattern on the drive axle to ensure even wear.
All three new drive tyres carry M+S (Mud + Snow) sidewall markings as a sign of excellent grip and traction during winter. The 295/80 and 315/80 drive tyres also meet the new 3PMSF (3 Peaks Mountain Snow Flake) standard – a further indication of grip performance on snow-covered roads.
Taurus tyres are manufactured in Michelin Group factories within Europe and are designed to be both regroovable and retreadable. The three new Taurus steer and drive tyres are available exclusively from ATS Euromaster truck centres
nationwide, and form part of a ‘Roads’ range available in eight different sizes.
ATS Euromaster also offer Taurus’ specialist ‘On/Off’ line-up of tyres for vehicles with a requirement to operate off-road, when delivering to building sites and quarries. There is also a ‘City’ range for refuse collection vehicles and city buses working in urban and suburban areas at low average speeds.
