    FLEET TYRE MANAGEMENT
Truck Tyre Solutions Strengthen Service in Midlands Region
Tyre management specialists Truck Tyre Solutions are looking to consolidate their strong position in the West Midlands and to potentially extend their sphere of influence to new area along the M5 and M6 corridors. This was revealed by Paul Jackson, the Managing Director of parent company International Tyres and Trading Ltd during an interview at the company’s headquarters in Oldbury. “We’re generally happy with Truck Tyre Solution’s regional representation in the Midlands but we might look to open up
Council, Worcester City Council and Whites Logistics.
In addition to Oldbury and Pershore, Truck Tyre Solutions, has service vehicles based in Rugby, Redditch and Newtown, Powys and aims to respond to all calls within 90 minutes. The company offers breakdown support in and around Birmingham, Coventry, Kidderminster, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Worcester as well as in Mid Wales and Shropshire. Outside these areas Truck Tyre Solutions partners with a number of other networks such as Bandvulc, ITDN, Tyrenet, Hankook Truck Masters and Conti 360 in order to offer a national and European service.
Truck Tyre Solutions sister company, International Tyres, offers a nationwide tyre wholesale service offering a full range of premium, mid-range and budget brands as well as remoulds. International Tyres is the exclusive UK agent for the mid-range Firenza line of tyres manufactured by Sumo and the Zeta range, which is a budget range manufactured by SD Interntional. According to Paul Jackson, the company has now represented these brands for eight and six years respectively, demonstrating strong continuity of service and commitment to the market.
Truck Tyre Solutions, managed by Carl Falconer, offers fleets a tailor made tyre management package and positions itself as an alternative option for those
looking to save operating costs, whilst not compromising on support. The company’s regional nature means that a number of medium sized regional fleets number among its clientele. However, Truck Tyre Solutions also works in conjunction with Bandvulc and other regional companies to provide service to prestige fleets in other parts of the country. “Ours is not a one-size-fits-all service”, says Falconer . “Our service is made to satisfy the requirements of individual fleets. We also offer on-site servicing, which helps reduce servicing costs by helping identify defects before they result in a substantial breakdown bill. Costs are also optimised by enabling work on several jobs to be carried out on site at the same time, which in turn helps prolong tyre life”. Fleet checks are carried out by Truck Tyre Solutions every 4-6 weeks. These provide information on remaining tread depth, brand and pattern and pressures, which is all accessible through TTS’s
website on a smartphone or a PC. Also included as part of the service are turning tyres on rims, recuts, wheel swaps, minor and major repairs and fitting.
The company also provides a casing management service in conjunction with Bandvulc, Vacu-Lug and UK Tyre Technicians, which is also available to those who don’t use retreads. Casing credits for usable casings are set off against a disposal charge for those that aren’t. The company’s tyre management service helps to assure that tyres are removed at the optimum time, to ensure maximum life for the new tyre, whilst assuring that the casing remains in good condition.
In addition, Truck Tyre Solutions offers commercial wheel alignment services in Birmingham and surrounding areas to help optimise tyre life.

either the other side of Coventry or in Gloucester area”, said Jackson, speaking only six months after the company had opened a new distribution hub in Pershore, which has allowed the company to better service some of its key clients in Worcestershire such as Malvern
