In enlightening results, of the 985 fleets who participated in Goodyear’s Sustainable Reality survey, three-quarters agreed that reducing the overall carbon footprint within the industry was a pertinent issue for today, with larger fleets leading the way.

With November 2021 yielding 10,472 light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales, this is a stark drop from this time last year when there were 15,630 sales in November 2020. Due to the market shrinking, sales for the year-to-date are 140,984 against 141,491 for November 2020 in figures released by la Asociación Española de Farbicantes de Automóviles y Camiones, or ANFAC (the Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers).

The Bridgestone Corporation has announced that its Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia division has completed the acquisition of Otraco International - an OTR tyre management solutions provider. Bridgestone acquired the company from Downer EDI Limited at the start of December 2021 in a transaction valued at AUD 79 million.

The market may be continuing to register declines, however with one month to go before the end of the year, the 393,932 registrations so far this year is a 9.69% increase on this time last year, leaving little room for doubt 2021 will improve on 2020.
