UK new light commercial vehicle (LCV) registrations end 2020 down -20.0%, some 73,121 units fewer than last year. Sector growth slowed at the end of a turbulent year, with registrations falling -1.0% in December.

UK commercial vehicle production dips -1.9% in November with 8,605 units built. Overall decrease driven by -8.8% exports decline, while production for UK rises 10.1% as sector works to meet ecommerce-driven demand. Industry calls for quick resolution to Brexit negotiations as 94.1% of all UK CV exports head to EU in first 11 months of the year. 

Toyo Tire Corporation and its manufacturing subsidiary Toyo Tire Serbia LLC Belgrade observed a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of a new plant in Indjija City, the Republic of Serbia yesterday.   

Light commercial vehicle registrations fell 8.1% this month compared to November 2019, to 15,627 units, while commercial vehicles registered a slight decline of 0.6%, with 2,693 units. The three signatory associations, ANFAC, FACONAUTO and GANVAM jointly warn of the serious risk for the sector of the increase in the Registration Tax in January 2021. 

Alliance’s launch of an upgraded version of its 372 VF (very high flexion) tyre was accompanied by the news of a successful independent research trial conducted by IRSTEA (Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies pour l'environnement et l'agriculture) that looked at fuel efficiency traction, footprint and slip of Alliance’s IF (increased flexion) and VF tyres in comparison with the premium competition in the market.

Magna Tyres Group has announced the launch of its latest addition to the material handling tyre line-up: the 18.00-25 Magna M-Stacker (IND-4). A more advanced tyre for use on reach stackers, empty container handlers and heavy-duty forklifts designed with a key focus on improving the efficiency and productivity of cargo operations. 

Michelin has more than doubled the number of sizes offered within its popular RoadBib agricultural tyre range, introducing five new dimensions.
