UK commercial vehicle manufacturing output declines for fifth month in a row, down -45.4% in February. Domestic and overseas orders see double-digit drops, with exports halved (-51.3%). Output down -38.3% in the first two months of the year, with 9,924 vans, trucks and buses leaving factories. 

The new port handling tyre has been designed for improved tread wear and increased comfort, with Radial 3 construction and IND-4 rated tread depth. This is extension is part of Goodyear’s range of nine radial tyres for port handlers. 

The complete 200 Vario and 300 Vario series from Fendt is now available with TractorMaster. Fendt tractors can be ordered with the listed Continental tyres with immediate effect. 

A new hybrid tractor tyre from Continental is now available in the UK and Ireland to help with the demanding road to field transitions of silage work. The very high flexion (VF) tyre is fitted with a pressure monitoring sensor and has a tread pattern that offers comfort and durability on the road, whilst protecting the sward in the field.

Imerys, the supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions, reports a significant reduction in tyre replacement and vehicle downtime since installing a TyreWatch remote monitoring service at its quarry in Furzebrook, Dorset. 

BKT's range of over 2,700 tyres is expanding again. The latest is EARTHMAX SR 412, designed to equip articulated dump trucks, loaders and dozers. 

Galaxy's OTR tyre, the HTSR 400, now offers new rubber compounds to further enhance cut resistance and heat resistance. Three variants are available in three sizes to match customer demands –application specific and purpose-built, as well as excellent durability and minimum downtime. 

Michelin has launched new portal pro.michelin.es in Spain to support transport professionals, the agricultural and mining sectors and other industrial activity. It includes a tyre finder and specific sections for fleet management, as well as tips and advice. Also, direct access to MyPortal is available offering sector news, offers, promotions and exclusive gifts. 

Bridgestone’s agricultural tyre offering has continued appealing to farmers and contractors, after the company doubled the period of warranty cover on its extensive range of AG radial drive products to 10 years.
