Valebridge Media Services (VMS), the organiser of the 2022 Recircle Awards, the tyre industry awards programme recognising exceptional achievements in terms of sustainability within the tyre retreading and recycling sectors, have revealed the list of members of the Nominations Committee for the 2022 event.

With 2,401 trucks sold in October, the market has seen a comparative 27% decline from the previous October, although the market is still 30% up on last year, with electric trucks increasing by over 100%, indicating that the Bonus Malus system has helped the move towards electrification, in figures released by BIL Sweden. Buses continue to see drastic declines in registrations, indicating that the market is still going through a turbulent period, in part because of the ending of the Bonus malus programme.


With 7,799 commercial vehicles produced during September, the increase was a modest 1.8% rise on 2020’s September. Exports on the other hand saw a 12.4% dip but a healthy 27.3% increase for the domestic market. This amounts to a 15.4% year-on-year rise against 2020, but, overall the market is decidedly weaker compared to the five-year average, in results released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). 

Los Premios Hevea, the Industry Awards for the Spanish tyre sector have announced the complete list of nominees for the 20 awards up for grabs. From 15th October to 31st December, professionals can cast their vote in the III edition of Los Premios Hevea, with the vote count certified by a notary. Organised by EuroPneus in conjunction with Motortec Madrid, Los Premios Hevea 2022 will take place at the IFEMA Fair in Madrid and will recognise excellence in the Spanish tyre sector.
