Bridgestone’s 24/7 fleet service network is operating at its best-ever levels, with Bridgestone bosses confident the network will be on course for its most efficient year of responding to breakdown responses.

Bridgestone has invested in Kodiak Robotics, which develops and deploys long-haul shipping trucks with level 4 autonomy. Bridgestone will integrate its smart-sensing tyre technologies in Kodiak’s trucks, as well as pilot future mobility technologies.

Goodyear Iberia begins its summer campaign for van tyresdue to increasing awareness of the importance that this type of vehicle has gotten, which has particularly accelerated recently with the rise of e-commerce and last mile delivery.  

Sightline, Goodyear's new smart tyre brand, will initially target van and light transport fleets. 

The FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) starts 12-13 June at the Hungaroring in Hungary. Fifteen championship hopefuls will line up on the grid for a seven-event, 30-race season, all on specially developed Goodyear truck racing tyres. Leading the Iveco squad is six-time champion Jochen Hahn and local favorite, two-time champion Norbert Kiss, piloting his MAN truck.

Raw materials cost and freight rates continue to rise at a dramatic pace on the global commodity markets. Some of the raw materials have shown alarming increases, up to 30%, and can be a cause of concern, calling for further actions few months down the line.
