WheelRight Appointments Growth

WheelRight, the real-time tyre monitoring specialist, has appointed a raft of new senior management to help it meet the growing demand for its cloud-based services and to power the company’s continuing expansion globally.

WheelRight Appoints Senior Executives to Bolster Growth Initiatives

CEO John Catling has moved into the Executive Chairman role, replacing founder Michael Taylor who has become a non-executive director.

Catling’s move makes way for Chris Butcher, who joins WheelRight as managing director. Chris has previous board level experience with the likes of Concentric AB plc, where as vice president he was responsible for the sales, marketing and application engineering of the global industrial manufacturer.  His strong track record in the automotive OE field also includes positions with Britax, Eminox and Volex.

Also joining the senior team is Michael Ward, who will sit on the WheelRight board, whilst retaining his role as head of corporate advisory, EMEA, at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to this, he spent 20 years as head of investment bank Nomura’s automotive team.

To further strengthen the business commercially, WheelRight has recruited Jeff Hilton as sales and marketing manager. Hilton joins from cleaning technology company Kärcher, where he was responsible for marketing, business development and providing specialist support in the transport, logistics and automotive markets.

Commenting on his recent appointment, Chris Butcher, managing director of WheelRight, said: “WheelRight is an outstanding British company that provides a truly high-tech approach to an age-old, time-consuming problem of measuring tyre pressures and treads. Our pioneering use of big data is already revolutionising the world of transport by providing quick, easy and extremely accurate readings. With live sites across the UK, America and Europe, 2018 will be an extremely exciting year for us as we continue to revolutionise that way people think about tyre monitoring and management.”
